Youth Ministry Calendar – (Save the dates!)
WINTER
REJUVENATION WEEKEND A weekend for high school youth just to relax!
March 14 – 16, Jacksonville VT Cost $190 includes six meals, 2-night stay
at retreat center and transportation. Activities included: outdoor and
indoor games, music, sharing, prayer. Other opportunities include:skiing
at Mt. Snow, snow tubing, sleigh ride (Additional costs)
ALTERNATIVE APRIL VACATION
Open to all High School youth April 20 - 25, Jacksonville VT Cost $225
Spend a week (Sunday - Friday) in Jacksonville Vermont serving a local
day center for senior citizens - delivering meals-on-wheels, playing games
like the all-time favorite BINGO, helping in the hair salon and more.
Also we may spend some time helping at the retreat center which is in
their final stages of recovery after a devastating fire one year ago.
MISSION MISSISSIPPI 2008 Open to all current high school youth, young
adults and adults. Current 8th graders are welcome if accompanied by a
parent. June 28 – July 5 Cost $275 plus airfare. Gulfport (which is where
Waveland is) is still in need of assistance rebuilding from Hurricane
Katrina. This summer, various groups from the Boston area are once again
answering this call. We will stay at St. Ann Parish in Lizana, MS who
has graciously hosted us for the past 2 summers.
